Overview
Visit Sandpiper Gallery and studio of local artist Susan Sambell to view a wide range of artwork, framed and unframed, in various mediums inspired from the local environment, as well as figurative work and still life. Susan chooses mainly to paint "Plein-air" in oil and watercolor and her style reflects impressionism. Susan endeavors to capture the mood of the subject with light and color whether a nude in a still pose, or a seascape with movement.
Since 1985 Susan has had 7 solo exhibitions and participated in several group shows. She has received over 30 awards for her work.
A Signatory member of the Victorian Artists Society, member of the Melbourne Society of Women Painters and Sculptors and the Warrnambool Artists Society.
Located centrally the charming old sandstone gallery is situated at 91 Lava Street, Warrnambool, 100m down from the clock tower.
